Michael Kapash,
General Manager/Partner
With more than 15 years of experience working with the Lark Creek Restaurant Group, starting with an externship at The Lark Creek Inn and culminating with his appointment as General Manager/Partner for the newly opening LarkCreek®Steak, Michael Kapash is a testament to the group’s commitment to nurturing their employees and promoting strong talent from within.Kapash was naturally drawn to the restaurant industry, realizing early on that he enjoyed being around people and food. “I was working at a pizza parlor and knew I didn’t want to make pizza for the rest of my career, so I entered the City College of San Francisco’s Hotel & Restaurant Management program,” he says. Kapash attained an externship at The Lark Creek Inn at an opportune time, when the Lark Creek Restaurant Group was on the verge of opening a second property. Immediately following his externship, Kapash was hired as Assistant Manager.
Kapash served as Manager of The Lark Creek Inn for two years before being named opening General Manager of Lark Creek® Walnut Creek, later being named Partner and orchestrating the expansion of that restaurant with the opening of the Oakville Room. Following the announcement of the Lark Creek Restaurant Group’s latest vision for success, LarkCreek®Steak in the Westfield® San Francisco Centre, Kapash was appointed to the position of General Manager/Partner. “One of my greatest points of pride as a General Manager has always been our ability to make guests feel welcome and taken care of, and recognizing customers for their loyalty,” says Kapash. “I’m really looking forward to working on the new restaurant concept and creating a comfortable and upscale shopping oasis for guests at LarkCreek®Steak.”
When Kapash is not busy at LarkCreekSteak, he enjoys working on classic Mustangs, camping, skiing and spending time with his wife, Samantha Brennan-Kapash, who is the sister of a former Lark Creek Inn Pastry Chef, and a member of the famous New Orleans restaurant family.
